On December 11, 2018, Travis D. Henry and Bryson M. Kirksey of Burns, Henry & Kirksey, P.C. held a ceremony for the dedication of their office building to honor their founding senior partner, Charles B. ("Charlie") Burns, Jr. who passed away on October 15, 2013.

As part of the ceremony, a certificate from the City of Cleveland, Tennessee signed by Mayor Kevin Brooks was presented to Kay S. Burns, the surviving spouse of Charles B. Burns, Jr., which read,

"In special recognition of Charles B. Burns, who was senior partner of Burns, Henry & Kirksey, P.C. before his death 5 years ago, and who designed and built this building in 1999; The City of Cleveland recognizes the many contributions Mr. Burns made to this city and feel it is fitting that we should join in this expression of our pride and appreciation for the many civic and economic benefits that our community has enjoyed over the years because of the growth and prosperity of locally owned and managed businesses such as Burns, Henry & Kirksey, P.C.; We join his partners and staff in naming the building "The Burns Building" in his honor."
